Rich with diversity and committed to student learning and growth, the Tukwila School District proudly serves youth and families in the city of Tukwila, Washington, just south of Seattle.  The Tukwila School District has worked in partnership with Community Schools Collaboration for more than a decade. 

With approximately 2,800 students, the Tukwila School District is small but notable.  It has been recognized by the New York Times as one of the most racially diverse districts in the U.S., and it was one of the first school systems in the nation to adopt a district-wide community schools model.

The mission of Highline Public Schools is to educate every student and expect excellence. Over 17,000 students in the Highline Public Schools District have the advantage of living and learning in a community with rich cultural diversity. Highline students represent about 80 nationalities and speak 70 different languages.

Serving the communities of Burien, Des Moines, Normandy Park, SeaTac, Boulevard Park, and White Center in South King County, WA, the district has been a leader in implementing innovative strategies to help students achieve.  Bringing in Community Schools Collaboration as a major partner has been one of those strategies.
