History

Community Schools Collaboration (CSC) was established as a public/private partnership in Tukwila, Washington in 1998. Our objective was to provide a safe place afterschool for students in the Tukwila School District to receive academic support and enrichment.

CSC had great success, as evidenced by improving graduation rates and school attendance, and decreasing mobility rates and high school drop-outs. As a result, in 2008 we were invited to bring our programs to the neighboring Highline School District. Today, we have extended our full-service community school model to 20 elementary, middle and high school campuses throughout the region.
