Involved families create great students

When families are fully engaged in their children's learning, children are more likely to achieve academic and personal success.  Yet many parents face economic, cultural and linguistic barriers that make engagement difficult.  CSC works closely with parents to help them become the leaders of their children’s education. 

CSC provides the following:

Family Engagement facilitates parent involvement in the schools, encourages family literacy, and helps parents learn ways to support their children's education.  We also engage families through regular program showcases and celebrations.

Access to Services links parents to social services, ESL classes, literacy classes, and employment services which help them stabilize their lives and build stronger futures.

Parent Leadership provides ongoing opportunities to take leadership roles in schools and the community.

Bilingual/Bicultural Support provides translation and assistance in five languages at school meetings and activities to ensure that schools are accessible to all families.
