Who is ready to rock-out for the health of our students? Our CSC Health Team is!
Inspired by the impact of CSC health programs and girl empowerment, the 3 wonderful ladies of the CSC Health Team have decided to participate in the Seattle Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon on Saturday, June 23rd, to raise funds to support Girls on the Run in our schools. This will be the first half marathon (13.1 miles) for all of them.
The CSC Health Team believes that the healthier students are, the more ready they are to learn and succeed. One of the CSC health programs, Girls on the Run (GOTR), inspire girls for a lifetime of healthy living by supporting their emotional, physical, social, and intellectual development. CSC provides an opportunity for 3rd through 5th grade girls in the Tukwila School District to participate in GOTR, free of cost.
By pledging $5 per mile ($5 x 13 = $65), you will cover the registration cost for a girl participating in 5 CSC elementary schools: Bow Lake, Cascade View, Madrona, Thorndyke, and Tukwila Elementary.
Make a difference and please help us keep GOTR in our schools!
